Title: Kernel Parameter Initializiation for SAP Systems

Description:
This package sets the kernel parameters to recommended resp. user
defined values for SAP systems in a dynamic way at boot time, although
the values cannot be lower than the minimum as specified in the
relevant SAP Notes, which cover the respective parameters. Changed
kernel parameters are written to "/etc/sysctl.conf".

Furthermore, it checks if a well-sized "/dev/shm" file system is
configured and mounted. A relevant mount entry gets added to
"/etc/fstab" (SLES 10 and higher only), if not already present.

The kernel parameters can be changed by the user by editing the
variables in the "/etc/sysconfig/SAPinit" configuration file.

Older versions of this package (including the package found in SLES 9
SP3 and SLES 10) had an init script called "/etc/init.d/sapr3" resp.
"/usr/sbin/rcsapr3". This has been renamed to "/etc/init.d/sapinit"
resp. "/usr/sbin/rcsapinit", because R3 is not really true nowadays
anymore.

Also, the old script was supposed to be able to start up SAP R3
instances, when these were configured in the "/etc/sysconfig/sapr3"
file. This configuration file has now been obsoleted. The new
"/etc/init.d/sapinit" script delivered with this package does not have
the capability to start any SAP (R3) instances. This functionality has
been replaced by the scripts delivered with the SAP system itself.
