Description:
The GIMP-2.0 plug-in for reading photos (images) in RAW file format
from any digital camera supported by Dave's Coffin dcraw utility into
GIMP. The plug-in is based in part on the code of Dave's original
plug-in, but has a quite different internal workflow. There is a
preview in the dialog and all color manipulations are made with 16-bit
color depth. There are separate gamma, brightness, white balance (with
color temperature scale), and green/magenta cast controls.
This code is beta quality, but seems functional. There are still some
rough edges and I am still struggling with doing color handling
correctly. I do welcome all feedback--especialy on this issue, because
there seem to be different approaches to the linear -> gamma corrected
level adjusted image correction. The GIMP algorithm seems to be
different than the dcraw and "logical" approach.
